Arlene Wood

ATHENS - Arlene A. Wood, 68, of Athens, died Monday, March 3, 2008 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Born Jan. 16, 1940 in ATHENS county, she was the daughter of the late Dayton and Carol Dickson Wood. She was a graduate of ATHENS High School and was a former employee of ATHENS -ity Schools, Ohio University Airport and retired from Ohio Rehabilitation Services Commission. She is survived by a brother, Howard F. Wood of Palm Springs, Cal.; three nephews, Greg King of Albany, Tom King of New Marshfield, Bill King of Cardington; her partner of 34 years, Jeremy A. Dryden. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley J. King. Memorial graveside services will be Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 11 AM at ATHENS -emory Gardens.
