ATHENS - Jack Lewis Rosser, 76, of Athens, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, December 26, 2007. Jack was born September 14, 1931 in New Marshfield, he was the son of the late Sam W. and Reba McDaniel Rosser. He was a member of the Bates United Methodist Church and retired from McBeechr(39)s of Athens. He was a veteran of the US Army and a member of the ATHENS -ish and Game Club. Jack was a lifelong avid sportsman enjoying bowling, fishing and hunting game birds with his dogs. He is survived by his wife, Betty Rosser; two sons, Michael Rosser of Athens, Christopher Rosser of Albany; two stepsons, Tim and Jay Moore both of Shade; two granddaughters, Nikki (Dan) Metts of Shade, Breanna Rosser of Albany; four step grandchildren, Jamie Dye and Linda Bagley both of Albany, Cyrus and Jestie Moore both of Shade; two brothers, Alvin (Barbara) Rosser of Sparta, New Jersey, Dan (Lisa) Rosser of Abingdon, Maryland; two great grandchildren, Bradley and Brooklyn. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, June Frost Rosser. Services will be Sunday at 1:00 pm at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Pastor David Barringer officiating. Burial will be in Frost Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday 4 to 7 pm.
