Martin Searles

ATHENS - Martin "Marty& L. Searles, 44, of Athens, died Friday, Nov. 30, 2007 at his home. Born Feb. 12, 1963 in Pomeroy, he was the son of the late Rolland Charles and Veva Virginia Lemley Searles. He was a graduate of Meigs High School and was employed at Advanced Seamless gutter and Roofing Company. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Howard of Texas; a granddaughter; his companion of seven years, Missy Swartz; four sisters, Irene (Keith) Kennedy of Rutland, Janet Flowers of Columbus, Cathy (Wayne) Pauley of Meigs County, Patty (Tom) Thatcher of Danville; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Sue Searles. Memorial services will be Sat. at 1:00 pm at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Gary Alton officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home Sat. one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be for funeral expenses to the funeral home.
