Theda Slater

ATHENS - Theda Charlene Slater, 82, of Bradenton, Florida, formerly of the ATHENS -rea, passed away Monday, August 27, 2007 in Bradenton after an extended illness. Born Dec. 17, 1924 in Meigs County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Edna Bryson Quivey. She spent most of her life in Meigs and ATHENS county. She is survived by her husband, Ed of Bradenton, Florida; a son, Fred (Theresa) Slater of New Marshfield; a daughter, Kay (John) Schleich of Durham, NC; a grandson; two granddaughters; and a sister, Virgie Johnson of Athens. Memorial services will be Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007 at 1:00 PM at The ATHENS county Shrine Club in The Plains. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to ATHENS -ommunity Hospice, 30 Herrold Avenue, Athens, Ohio 45701. Arrangements are by Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home.
