AMESVILLE - Peggy Riley, 51, of Amesville, died early Thursday morning, August 23, 2007 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Born Jan. 23, 1956 in Athens, she was the daughter of Fawna Quinn Riley of Amesville and the late Freeman Riley. She was 1974 graduate of Federal Hocking High School and had a Business degree from Wright State University. After living in Canton, Ohio for a short time she returned home where she proceeded to volunteer at Amesville Elementary for over 20 years in the library as well as the classrooms. It was her devotion to her volunteer work that gave her the most joy and pleasure for the past several years. In that time she touched the lives of many children as well as members of the community. Following her time at Amesville Elementary she was a caregiver for her ailing mother. Besides her mother, she is survived a sister, Patricia Carpenter of The Plains, a brother, Douglas (Elizabeth) Riley of Amesville; 7 nephews, Jay, Alex, Michael W., Michael J., Brian, Christopher, Tyler and a niece, Amanda. She will be greatly missed by many. Memorial services will be Thursday Aug. 30, 2007 at 7:00 PM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Gary Gould officiating.
