Verna M. Covert

NEW MARSHFIELD - Verna M. Covert, 85 of New Marshfield passed away Monday August 13, 2007 at Fairfield Medical Center. Born August 21, 1921 in ATHENS county, she was the daughter of the late Eli "Pete& and Elsie Jolley Mace. She was retired from the ATHENS -ental Health Center and was an active member of The New Marshfield United Methodist Church where she had been Sunday School Superintendent and the church treasurer. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Darrell; three children, Gerald (Julia) Glass of Brighton, CO, Sharon Lightfritz of New Marshfield, Monte S. (Lisa) Covert of Findlay; five grandchildren, Dawn, Gary, Angie, Trevor, Charlsie; four great grandchildren, Erik, Tye, Sky, Trey; a brother, Charles Mace of New Marshfield; a sister, Charlotte (Lloyd) Chesser of New Marshfield. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Rorick. Services will be Friday at 1:00 PM at The New Marshfield United Methodist Church with Basil Theodoras and Esther Scaggs officiating. Burial will be in New Marshfield Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home Thursday from 5 to 8 PM and at the church one hour prior to the service on Friday.
