CUTLER - Debra "Debbie& Sue McAtee, 54, of Cutler, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2007 at her home. She was born on May 13, 1953 to Charles and Hazel Hoffman. She is survived by her two sons, Ricki "DJ& McAtee Jr. (Diane) of Lubeck, WV and Travis McAtee of Cutler, OH, her mother, Hazel Hoffman of Athens, OH, two brothers, Greg Hoffman of Cutler, OH, Tim (Nancy) Hoffman of Amesville, OH, two sisters, Denise Congrove of Florida and Melissa (Jim) Reedy of Pomeroy, OH, her dog, Midnight, the father of her children, Ricki McAtee (Peggy) of Marietta, OH, several sister and brother-in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and her many close friends from the area, her co-workers from DuPont, the OSU Medical Staff; all of whom supported her throughout her strong-spirited, miraculous battle to recover after a stroke just last fall. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles, two brothers, Ray and Brian Hoffman. She graduated from Federal Hocking High School and went to Hocking College for three years. She later married Ricki McAtee and was stationed with him in Germany for two years. Upon returning to the states they raised two sons whom she took pleasure in watching them grow up to race motorcycles, and listening to their fishing and hunting stories. She has always loved living in Cutlerchr(39)s country surroundings, playing cards and going to a neighboring river lot. She later enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, retreating to her pool and relaxing on her porch feeding and watching her hummingbirds. Services will be Thursday at 11 AM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home. Burial will be at Centenary Cemetery in Cutler, OH. Friends may call Wednesday from 3 to 7 PM at the funeral home.
