ATHENS - Norma J. Cooke, 80 of ATHENS died Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at her residence. Born January 16, 1927 in Mansfield, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Gladys Bechtel Brumenschenkel. She was the house mother of Alpha Delta Pi and Sigma Kappa&nbsp;<font face="Times New Roman" size="3">sororities</font>&nbsp;in ATHENS -or over 10 years. Norma was an avid card player and enjoyed the company of her friends and neighbors in Athens. She is fondly remembered by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is survived by three daughters, Sunday Huddleson of Lebanon, Wendy Toadvine of Athens, and Christy (Mike) Newton of Lebanon; 10 grandchildren and19 great grandchildren; and one sister, Katherine Hawke of Elyria. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Katherine Dakin Fraley; two brothers and one sister. No services will be observed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Normachr(39)s name to the American Cancer Society or to the Bill Toadvine Memorial Scholarship Fund, in care of the Ohio University Foundation, P.O. Box 869, Athens, Ohio 45701. Arrangements are by Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home.
