Maude B. Michael

&nbsp; THE PLAINS - Maude B. Michael, 103, of The Plains, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday afternoon, June 5, 2007 at her home with her loving family at her side. Born Sept 18, 1903 in Albany, she was the daughter of the late George M. and Julia Sidney Jones Thorne. Maude enjoyed life and was dedicated to her family and friends. She had been a member of The Plains United Methodist Church since 1938. She is survived by six children, Georgia (Paul) Kail of Charlotte, NC, Darius E. Michael of The Plains, Carl M. (LaDonna) Michael of Wichita Falls, TX, Karen M. Ackison of&nbsp; The Plains, Julia (Bob) Scott of The Plains, Blaine (Linda)&nbsp;Michael of The Plains; a daughter-in-law, Mary Lee Michael of The Plains; 18 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl; two sons, Robert and Max Michael; a grandson, Michael G. Michael; a granddaughter, Sherry Lynn Michael; a great granddaughter, Sidney Belle Scott; three brothers, Carroll, Lloyd, and Basil Thorne. Services will be Saturday at 1:00 pm at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Timothy &nbsp;Waugh officiating. Burial will be in The Plains Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm.
