Irene Thompson

THE PLAINS - Irene Thompson, 83, of The Plains died Monday, February 19, 2007 at the home of her daughter in Columbus. Born December 9, 1923 in Cleveland, she was the daughter of the late Harley A. and Hattie M. Finney Douglas. She was a graduate of The Plains High School. She retired from McBeechr(39)s with over 30 years of service. She is survived by one daughter, Nannette "Susie& Rowland of Columbus; one son, Robert E. (Julia) Scott of The Plains; three grandchildren, Tara Rowland of Columbus, Robert M. (Angela) Scott of The Plains, and Leigh Ann (Tom) Gabriel of The Plains; six great grandchildren, Cameron Rowland, Elizabeth, Carl, and Emily Scott, Danielle Hartley and Rob Gabriel; and one sister, Lois Houser of Springfield. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Thompson; one sister, Rose Bertrand; and great granddaughter Sidney Scott. Services will be Thursday at 2 PM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Gary Alton officiating. Burial will be in ATHENS -emory Gardens.
