Mary James

ATHENS - Joyce Mary (Bruce) James died Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at Arcadia Nursing Center in Coolville. She was 78. She was born to the late Arthur and Rose Bruce of Chauncey on December 9, 1928. Mrs. James was preceded in death by a son, John Alan James in 1964, also three brothers, Jack, Jim and Joe Bruce, and a sister, Jean Dodd. She has been a long-time resident of the ATHENS -rea. She retired from Ohio University and served many years on the election board. Mrs. James is survived by a son, Jerry James of Dayton, two daughters, Shirley James of Tupperschr(39) Plains and Lynda Tingley of Rock Hill, South Carolina. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Funeral services will be held at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home in ATHENS -n Monday, March 5, 2007 at 1 PM. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at South Canaan Cemetery.
