ATHENS - James Edward Glover, 66, of ATHENS died Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at OSU Medical Center in Columbus. James was born November 26, 1940 in ATHENS and was the youngest son of the late Guy Albert and Eliza Grace Thompson Glover. He graduated from ATHENS High School in 1959 and worked for a short time for an older brother, Gerald. He then joined the United States Navy in the early 60chr(39)s and went to Spain, France, Italy and many wonderful places. Upon discharge, he worked for Ohio University for 32 years and 5 months, where he retired from in 1999. He is survived by his second wife, Sandra (Perry) Glover; five children, Donald (Mary) Glover of Pomeroy, Cinthia (Mike Meadows) Glover of Stewart, James (Stephanie Heck) Walker of Athens, Shawn (Taryn Yost) Walker of Athens, and Sandra (Duane) Covert of Nelsonville; fifteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; one brother, Harold "Dutch& (Rose) Glover of Sugargrove; several brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, and some special friends. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Vern, Gerald, Franklin, Charles "Bob&, and Bill; and one sister, Madge. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Roberta Riley Glover. Services will be Monday at 1 PM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Pastor Carl Radcliff officiating. Burial will be at New Marshfield Cemetery where military services will be conducted by the ATHENS -FW Post 3477, Albany VFW Post 9893 and the American Legion Post 21.
