TRIMBLE - Eugene A. Cole, 64 of Trimble formerly of ATHENS died Thursday evening, February 8, 2007 at his home. Born Nov. 26, 1942 in Canaanville, he was the son of the late Alvin Marshall and Ethel Anna Barnhart Cole. He was a 1960 graduate of Rome Canaan High School, a retired letter carrier for Nelsonville. He was a veteran of the US Army in 18th Missile Battalion during the Cuban Crisis. He held a black belt in Marshall Arts studying under Dr. Gyi. He is survived by one daughter, Debbie (Jeff) Kirkendall of Albany; two grandchildren, Kristen (Jon McKee) Buckley and Brandon Buckley; two great grandchildren, Jonna and Braydin McKee; a brother, Dick Cole of Athens; and his special loving cat, Tessy. The family would like to give a special Thanks to Bob and Cheryl Thompson and family, and to Appalachian Community Hospice. Services will be Tuesday at 1 PM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Rev. Carl Radcliff officiating. Burial will be at New Marshfield Cemetery where military services will be conducted by ATHENS -FW Post 3477, Albany VFW Post 9893, and the ATHENS -merican Legion Post 21.
