MILLFIELD - Oris Ray (Bud) Rutter, 76, of Millfield passed away peacefully at home after an extended illness, Sunday morning, January 21, 2007. He was born Sept. 7, 1930 in Millfield, and was the son of the late Clyde E. and Bessie M. Glaze Rutter. He was retired from Ohio University as a heavy equipment operator after 38 years of service. He is survived by his fiance, Irene Hamilton; four daughters, Vicky (Jeffrey) Hillen of Lancaster, Trinia (Harry) Barnes of Athens, Lisa (Jamie) Wade of The Plains, and Stephanie (Bryan) Withem of The Plains; four sons, Michael of Millfield, Jeffrey (Eileen) of The Plains, Donald (Natalie) of Albany, and Rodney (Annette) of Athens; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; three sisters, Thelma Boyd of La Rue, Janet Porter of Athens, and Donna (Pug) Allison of Millfield; two brothers, Earl (Short) Rutter of Millfield, Robert and Glenn Rutter of The Plains. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline White Rutter; four sons, Charles, Randy, Brian, and Steven Rutter; two sisters, Wanda (Sis) Rutter and Judy Robinson; and six brothers, John, Ora, Curtis, Carlos (Sheb), Charles (Hop), and Larry (Buck) Rutter. Services will be Wednesday at 1 PM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Thompson officiating. Burial will be at Hilltop Cemetery.
