Pearl Swart

THE PLAINS - Pearl E. Swart, 74 of The Plains passed away peacefully at home, Thursday, January 11, 2007 She was born March 17, 1932 in The Plains and was the daughter of the late Pearl Oakey and Margretta E. (Bishop) Phillips. She was a 1950 graduate of The Plains High School, and retired from the ATHENS -ental Health Center. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Deanie and Tom Perry; three brothers, Oakey F. (Pat) Phillips, Gilbert G. (Pam Kempton) Phillips, and Richard D. (Lois) Phillips; two sisters, Christina Rose Crabtree and Zeta M. Clegg; eight grandchildren, Wm. Thomas Perry III, Michelle R. Perry-Farley, Amanda C. Mash (Joel) Pollard, Daniel A. Mash, Tara M. McLean McMannis, J.C. McLean III, Misty D. McLean Bridgewater, and Jamie L. McLean; and eleven great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, James C. McLean Jr., and Paul K. McLean; a daughter, Katherine L. McLean-Mash; one brother, Harvey L. Phillips; four sisters, Nancy F. Darnell, Mary M. Frost, Sadie Judith Phillips, Margretta Belle Phillips, and a grandson-in-law, Brett A. Farley. Graveside services will be Sunday at 1 PM at Hilltop Cemetery, Millfield with Rev. Tom O'Brien officiating. Friends may call at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home Saturday from 3 to 7 PM. The family wishes to acknowledge and thank Pearl's many friends and relatives for the love, the laughter, the prayers and the loving care during Pearl's long illness. She will be greatly missed.
