ATHENS -- Janice Kreitzer Cornwell, 59, died Tuesday, Jan. 9, at Riverside Hospital in Columbus. She was born October 26, 1947 in Dayton, Ohio, daughter of the late Earl Harry and Olivia Lehman Kreitzer. She was retired from Ohio University after 30 years as a Registered Nurse at the University Health Service, where she became one of the first Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANE) in the area. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, John A. Cornwell, a daughter, Amy Cornwell Calvert (David), sons Michael J. Cornwell (Sherri Jo St. John) of Skokie, IL and Brian A. Cornwell (Connie) of Athens, sisters Judy Kreitzer Wright (Charles) and Joyce Kreitzer Gauldin (Tom) of Washington CH and Jeanne Kreitzer Payton (Roy) of Jeffersonville. She is also survived by grandchildren Arthur J. Cornwell, Eric M. Cornwell, Katie D. Calvert and Molly O. Calvert, and two special friends, Christy Luehrman and Terry Wilson. Visitation will be at the Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home on Friday from 5 to 8 PM. The funeral will be at the funeral home at 1 PM on Saturday with Mnsg Patrick Gaughan officiating. Burial will be at the West Union Street Cemetery.
