MILLFIELD Our loving mother Joretta Keirns, 90, of Millfield, died Tuesday morning, Dec. 5, 2006 at Hickory CreekNursing Center. Born April 2, 1916 in Phillips, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of the late John Henry and Ursula Barbara Muller Schweikert.She was a member of the PostonMethodist Church, Millfield Mine Memorial Committee where she was former secretary/treasurer and was a member of the ATHENS -mblem Club.She is survived by five children, Barbara (Jesse) Griffith of Los Angeles, CA., Beverly (Joe) Lucas of Amesville, John Ervin (Vicki) Keirns of Millfield, Lucy (Richard) Dehm of Chauncey, and Denver (Fran) Keirns of Millfield; 17 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; numerous great great grandchildren.Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years in 1983, Walter "Tom" Keirns; a son Walter "Tommy" Keirns; a sister, Anna McDonald and a half brother, Steve Hecker.Services will be Saturday at 1 PM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Bill Ochr(39)Brien officiating.
