Garnet Byers

ATHENS -Garnet L. Byers, 82, of ATHENS -ormerly of Millfield died early Saturday morning, September 16, 2006 at Ochr(39)Bleness Memorial Hospital. Born Feb. 10, 1924 she was the daughter of the late Harlan and Ellen Duncan.She is survived by 6 children, Mary Ellen (Richard) Van Horn of Chesterhill, James (Billie) Byers of New Marshfield, Dorothy (Chris) Pilos of Athens, Evelyn Byers and friend Ray of New Marshfield, Sharon M. (Grant) McCune of Albany and Phil (Sandy) Byers of The Plains; 19 grant children, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter; two sisters, Edith Keirns of Lancaster and Agnes Walker of New Philadelphia.Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Finley Dennis, second husband, James Fredrick Byers, three sisters, Elsie, Margie, and Thelma, and one brother, Jr.Services will be Tuesday at 1 PM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Burchett officiating.
