Lois Shields

THE PLAINS Lois E. Shields, 80, of Athens, died unexpectedly, Thursday afternoon, June 15, 2006 at Ochr(39)Bleness Memorial Hospital.She was the daughter of the late Leo Daniel and Mary Ethel Coots Shields. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, Robert Eugene Shields, and her brother, Harold Edison Shields.She is survived by a brother and sister-in-la, Russell and Iona Shields of The Plains, and a sister-in-law, Alma Shields of Athens.She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, including Karen, Jonathan, Staci, and Kenny Stout and Jeffrey North of Chillicothe; Laura and Kenny Bartlett of Albany; Mark, Karen, and Matthew Shields of The Plains; Kathryn, Steve, Nicholas, and Nathan Bolin of Athens; Judy Glasgow of Athens; Joan and Ben Wigal of Athens; Janet, Dan, Tyler, and Corley Huber of Orlando, FL; David, Dia, Jeremiah, Elizabeth, Riley, and Haley Shields of Athens, Darci Shields of Chauncey; Jill and Ben Van Nostran of Knoxville, TN; and Lisa, Alex, and Adrienne Dolle of Herndon, VA.Pastor Tim Waugh officiated at a private graveside service for the family members on Saturday, June 17, 2006.
