ATHENS -Virginia Lee (Ginny) Chesser, 73, of Westerville formerly of Athens, passed away at WorthingtonChristianVillage on Tuesday, April 25, 2006. She was born February 13, 1934.Preceding her in death are her parents, John and Edith Ashton; sisters, Eula Ashton and Anna Margaret Ashton; brothers, Tom Ashton and Bill Ashton.Ginny is survived by her husband, Tom Chesser; and her daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly (Tony) Molino of Westerville, OH; three grandchildren, Monika Storr of Leslie, MI., Allison Molino of Jackson, MI., and Anthony Molino of Indianapolis, IN.; four great grandchildren, Zehlin, Kanen, Griffin, and Jillian of Leslie, MI.Ginny graduated from ATHENS High School in 1952. She earned a degree from Ohio Universtiy in Secretarial Studies, then employed by the City of ATHENS -chool System. After resigning from the school system, she moved to Columbus, Ohio in 1971. She was employed by Buckeye Federal Savings and Loan as a legal secretary. She moved on to the National Bank and then on to National City Bank, working in the legal department. Ginny retired in 1999 and traveled extensively with her husband to most countries throughout the world.She has relatives and special friends in Athens, OH., Columbus, OH., Houston, TX., and Hawaii. Ginny had a passion for working with flowers and was a member of The Village Lamplighter Garden Club. Ginny was taught about flowers by a special friend, Margaret Endicott. She also was a member of several secretarial organizations, and also a member of The Oriental Shrine of North America and Thea Court #5.There will be a memorial graveside service atClarksChapel Cemetery in ATHENS -n May 6, 2006 at 1:00 PM with Robert Pollock officiating.
