NELSONVILLE - Frederick William Hanning, Sr., 66, of Nelsonville, Ohio died unexpectedly on March 18, 2006 in Gainesville Florida. Born July 11, 1939 in Millfield, Ohio, he was the son of Alfred Henry and Margaret Lenart Hanning.He was a Teamster Truck Driver for 25 years, then taught Drivers Education at Nelsonville-York and Trimble High Schools and drove a bus for ATHENS -ity Schools for several years. He retired from the working world for good in 2002.He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Nancy McMaster Hanning; 3 sons, Frederick W. Jr. (Blanche) of Pickerington, Jon A. (Sandra) of Nelsonville and Michael N. Hanning of Albany; and 1 daughter, Nancy Jayne (John R. III) Noble of Matthews, North Carolina; 10 grandchildren, Chasity, Stephanie and Natalie Hanning of Pickerington, Tristopher (Faith) Hanning of Millfield, Mattie Hanning (Josh) Schmitt of Columbus, and Jessica, Bethany and John R. IV Noble of Matthew N.C.; 5 great grandchildren, Thomas Brooks, Jasmine, Christian and Tristan Hanning of Millfield, and Jacob Hanning of Pickerington; and expecting soon a great granddaughter, Alexis Rae Schmitt of Columbus; 1 brother, David N. (Kathryn) Hanning of Nelsonville; and 3 sisters, Betty Willis of Nelsonville, Esther Fussner of Chester Springs, PA and Barbara (Everett) Boggess of New Port Richey, Fla.; and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends.Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Alfred Jr. and John; and 5 sisters, Eva Baker, Ruth Dukeman, Irene Lovsey, Margaret Hunter and infant sister Eleanor.He was in long-standing affiliation with the Laymenchr(39)s Home Missionary Movement and served as an elder in the local Ecclesia. He enjoyed working outside and wintered in Chiefland, Fla. for the last 3 years where he made many new friends.Services will be Friday at 1 PM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Steenrod officiating.
