ATHENS -Charles Denver Rowland, 68, of Cutler, formerly of Athens, died Sunday, Feb. 26, 2006 at ChillicotheVeteransAdministration Hospital.Born Nov. 19, 1937 in Athens, he was the son of the late Denver Rowland. He formerly owned and operated Rowland Supplies in ATHENS and was a US Navy Veteran.He is survived by his wife, Nancy; a daughter, Tara Rowland of Columbus; one grandson; five stepchildren, Barbara Angus and Scott of Vincent, Cathy and Dave Hedges of Coolville, Donna and Tony Hedges of Coolville, Kenny Howell of Cutler, Danny Howell and friend Becky of Cutler; eight step grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; a sister, Jessie McLeish of Delaware. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Marie and a nephew Robert.Services will be Thursday at 11:00 am at CentenaryUnitedMethodist Church with Charles Hill officiating. Burial will be in Centenary Cemetery where military services will be conducted by The American Legion, The ATHENS -FW, and Albany VFW.
