Troy, 84, of The Plains, Ohio, died Friday afternoon, Dec. 9, 2005 at Hickory CreekNursing Center in The Plains. He was born November 6, 1921 in Hundred, West Virginia. He was the son of the late Carl E. and Mary E. Milliken Troy. He was a 1940 graduate of Parkersburg High School and was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII. George was the former Owner/Operator of Troy General Tire in ATHENS -or many years, and worked at his brother Robertchr(39)s asphalt and paving company, Cherry Stone Construction, in West Virginia. He was active member of many social clubs and organizations in both Ohio and West Virginia. He is survived by two daughters, Alecia (Jack) Moquin of Athens; Katrina (David) Heineking of Tucson, AZ; six grandchildren, Danielle Andrews; Timothy Moquin; Jacki Wallace; Weston Moquin; Morgan Holdcroft; and Kaitlyn Heineking; two brothers, James (Patricia) Troy of Eleanor, WV; Robert (Donna) Troy of Huntington, WV; two sisters, Ann Brown of Port Republic, MD; and Marie (Jack) Burge of Parkersburg, WV. Graveside services will be Monday, December 12, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. at Mt.Olivet Cemetery in Parkersburg, WV, with Reverend Billy Ochr(39)Brien officiating.
