ATHENS - Richard Lee Coffman, 83, of Athens, died Wednesday, November 30, 2005 at Kimes Nursing Home. Born February 10, 1922, in ATHENS county, he was the son of the late Eurland and Forrest Kasler Coffman. He was a graduate of ATHENS High School, a member of the First Christian Church in ATHENS and a member of Paramuthia Lodge # 25 F & AM, ATHENS county Shrine Club Alladin Temple. He was retired from McBee Systems.He is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Rose Ann and Michael Bash of Centerville, Ohio, and Cathy and Ralph Brooks of New Marshfield; three grandsons, Michael (Terrie) France, Chad France, Sean Grubb; a granddaughter, Heather (Jeremy) Morris; two step-grandsons, Mike Bash and Tom Bash and one step-granddaughter, Amy Metcalf; great granddaughters, Samantha Morris and Brianna Grubb; great grandson, Riley Morris; and 9 step-great grandchildren; two sisters, Verna Nagle and Patty Stanley of Athens; two sisters-in-law, Wilma Gabriel and Thelma Kincaid; two brothers-in-law, Milton Cain and Robert Williams, and many nieces and nephews.Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Eileen Gabriel Coffman, sister, Betty Cain; brother, Tom and great granddaughter, Sarah Nabergall.Services will be Saturday, Dec. 3, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home, Athens, with Rev. Dr. James T. Grooms officiating.
