ATHENS - Charles W. Browning, 79, of Athens, died Saturday morning, October 29, 2005 at his residence. Born August 6, 1926 in Flemington, GA., he was the son of the late Charles Woodward and Dorothy Ellen Thomas Browning. He was an active member of the Living Water Worship Center, and devoted his entire life to God. His love and wisdom are remembered by all who knew him.He is survived by his wife Virginia; eleven children, Nancy Purvis of Nelsonville, Margaret Rogers of Aurora, Co., Timothy Browning of Ft. Walton, Fl., Robert Browning of Corona, Ca., Patricia Frost of Stewart, Sara Lee of Athens, Fatima Sheik of Seattle, Wa., Mary Bernard of Nelsonville, Deborah Browning of Ft. Myers, Fl., Benjamin Browning of Logan, and Martha Macy of Athens; 25 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren; three sisters, Betty Davis of Boca Raton, Fl., Martha Jean Deal of Pine Blatt, Ak., Marjorie Deyo of Mt. SterlingBesides his parents he was preceded in death by a son, John Browning; and two sisters, Joyce Apicella and Shirley Kramer.Services will be Wednesday at 11 AM at the Living Water Worship Center with Pastor Jim Stewart officiating.
