align=center>Elizabeth Susan Conant THE PLAINS - Elizabeth Susan Conant, 89, of The Plains, died Tuesday morning, October 4, 2005 at Hickory Creek Nursing Center.Born on October 18, 1915 in Struthers, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Eva and William Johnson.Mrs. Conant was a member of Youngstown Gibson Heights Presbyterian Church and attended The Plains United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Struthers High School and attended Ohio University. She was also licensed as a real estate broker and notary. She was active in PTA being past president of West Elementary, Central School and Council. She was inducted with a lifetime membership to the PTA. Mrs. Conant was the developer of an eight lot subdivision off East First Street in The Plains, being named as a memorial for her husband, E.M. Conant Lane. She was an avid flower gardener. She was never unpleasant, and everyone was her friend. She is survived by three sons, Earnest (Ann) Conant of Lithopolis, Lowell (Lois) Conant of Tulsa, OK., and Carl (Janet) Conant of Naperville, IL.; and a daughter, Sheila (Randy) Van Dyke of New Marshfield; 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren.Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Earnest M. Conant.Per her request private burial was in ATHENS -emory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to The Plains United Methodist Church, 3 North Plains Road, The Plains, Ohio 45780.Arrangements are by Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home.
