 ATHENS - Bettie L. Stone, 95, of ATHENS died Thursday, August 25, 2005 at The Lindley Inn.She was born August 18, 1910 in Huntington, WV. To the late Charles and Vesta Bean Beverage. She was a beloved mother and grandmother, filled all of our lives with great joy, and will be missed very much.She is survived by a daughter, Dottie Silvus Smith of Athens; a son, Paul "Dick" Silvus of Athens; four grandchildren, Tracy Rene Smith of Columbus, Paul D. Silvus of Brownwood, TX., Kellie Silvus of Houston, TX., and Debbie Silvus Wallace of Powder Springs, GA.; one great grandson, Doug Wallace of Powder Springs, GA.; one great great grandson, John Wallace; and three step sons, Richard, Emerson, and Paul Fredrick Stone.Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Silvus; her second husband, Fred Stone; and her brother, Jack Beverage.A private family graveside service will be held at West Union Street Cemetery with Paul "Dick" Silvus officiating.
