ATHENS -David L. Spencer, 68 of ATHENS died Monday, July 04, 2005 at Ochr(39)Bleness Memorial Hospital.He was born June 19, 1937 in Vinton County to the late Boyd and Ada Gurile Spencer.He was retired from the ATHENS -ost Office were he worked for 38 years. He was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers 997. He was a long time member of the Canaanville United Methodist Church. He also was a U.S. Army Veteran.He is survived by his wife, Sue; two sisters, Connie (Harold) Molineu of Athens, and Mary (Bob) Sofronko of The Plains; and many nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours or services. A private burial will be in Canaanville Cemetery.
