ATHENS -Angela Dawn Douglas, 22, loving mother of Brock, of ATHENS died Monday, June 27, 2005 as the result of a motorcycle accident. She was born October 18, 1982 in ATHENS and was the daughter of Mark and Pam Zimmerman Douglas. She was a 2001 graduate of ATHENS High School. In June of 2005 she received a Bachelor of Science and Education from the College of Education and Health and Human Services from Ohio University with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She was inducted in 2004 as a member of the Kappa Delta Pi. She was employed for four years at Ruby Tuesday and recently hired at Alexander Elementary School. She is survived by a son, Brock Hayden; fianc??e Dustin Shaner, son of Brian and Amy Shaner; her brother, Eric Douglas; grandparents, Virginia Douglas, Ralph and Dorothy Zimmerman; aunt and uncles, Sue Wilkes, Mike (Lindy) Douglas and children Lydia and Michael; several great aunts and uncles, and cousins plus many special and close friends.She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Alton "Wimp" Douglas; her niece, Allie Douglas; and her great grandparents. Services will be Friday, at 1 PM at the Christ Community Wesleyan Church with Pastor David Ash officiating. Burial will be at Bates Cemetery.
