Edith Freeman

 NEW MARSHFIELD - Edith Mathena Freeman, 101, of New Marshfield died early Wednesday morning, June 22, 2005 at Kimes Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born December 20, 1903 in Waterloo Township and was the daughter of the late Oscar and Clarcy Hartman Mathena. She was a graduate of New Marshfield High School, Office Training School of Columbus, and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Ohio University.She taught in ATHENS county for forty-two years, and was a former Sunday School teacher. She also was a member of the Nelsonville Wesleyan Church. She is survived by several cousins.Graveside services will be at New Marshfield Cemetery on Friday at 11 AM.
