CARBONDALE James R. Stanley, 77, of Fort Myers, Florida, formerly of Carbondale, died Saturday, April 30, 2005 in Fort Myers.He was born Nov. 28, 1927 in Carbondale, he was the son of the late Amos Stanley and Margaret Rupe Civille. He was formerly a meat cutter at McMakens Market in Brookville and was a US Navy Veteran. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Patricia; a son, James, II (Andrea) Stanley of Fort Worth, TX; a daughter, Sharon (Dwayne) Osterberger of Hamilton; four grandchildren, Patrick Osterberger, Brannon Osterberger, James R. Stanley, III, Amy Stanley; five great grandchildren, Cody, Brittany, Lucas, Grace, Kyler Osterberger; a daughter-in-law, Lois Stanley; nine brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Frank (Ruth) Robinson, Jerry (Rita) Robinson, Richard (Rose) Robinson, Paul (Lana) Robinson, Linda (Alan) Jones, Dana McGraner, Dorothy (Donald) Daugherty, Judith (Arthur) Jones, Norma (Bernard) Bails and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Roger Stanley and a brother, Clarence Stanley. Services will be Saturday at 1:00 PM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home, Athens. Burial will be in New Marshfield Cemetery.Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 6 to 8 PM.
