ATHENS -Maxine Wade, 88, of ATHENS died Saturday morning April 30, 2005 at Ochr(39)Bleness Memorial Hospital.She was born February 23, 1917 in Millfield and was the daughter of the late William and Clara Viola Hartley.She lived most of her early years in Millfield and Chauncey. In 1949 the family moved to a new home near Guysville. Prior to going to Kimes, she resided with her daughter Carolyn for about eight years. She was also a member of the Guysville Community Church.She is survived by one son, Ace Wade of Columbus; two daughters, Charlotte (Edward) Boysel of Atlanta, GA., and Carolyn Koker of Athens; nine grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and one sister, Lorena Sherwood of The Plains.Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ace E. Wade; one daughter, Beverly Ann Wade Stinnett; one sister, Muriel Pierce; and four brothers, Walter, William, Winfield, and Dwight Hartley.Graveside services will be on Tuesday at 1 PM at Canaanville Cemetery with Rev. Lyle Skinner Hudnell officiating. Friends may call at the Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home on Monday from 6 to 8 PM.
