class=MsoNormal>MILLFIELD - Thomas Jerry Burdette, 64, of Millfield went to heaven on Thursday August 19, 2004 at Ochr(39)Bleness Memorial Hospital.Born October 12, 1939 in Corning, was the son of the late Thomas E. and Maxine Ackison Burdette. He was a member of the Jacksonville VFW. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Grace Patterson Burdette; and two sons, William Burdette of the home, and Walter (Tressa) Burdette; five daughters, Nancy (Bob) Heller, Sharon (Rob) Thompson, Kristi (Walter) Carpenter, Sheryl (Brian) Kasler, and Lisa (Kevin) Newman; 16 grandchildren including Brittany Burdette who resided with him and 10 great grandchildren; and a brother, Jim (Barb) Burdette. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Thomas E. Burdette; a daughter, Wilma Lee Burdette; and a sister, Nancy Jean Burdette.Services will be Sunday at 1 PM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home, Athens, with Jim Brown officiating. Burial will be in Hilltop Cemetery.Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM.
