Freda Isabell Carsey Currens

ATHENS - Freda Isabell Carsey Currens, 93, of Athens, went to rest Tuesday, June 1, 2004 at Russellchr(39)s Nursing Home.Born Oct. 17, 1910, she was the daughter of the late Dave and Flossie Markin Carsey. She was an active Grange member for years and worked for Pharmacy Drug Store and Laughlin Vending before retiring.She is survived by her only granddaughter, Gina Currens; her only great granddaughter, Erica Currens; a daughter-in-law, Delores Currens; a brother, Dana (Helen) Carsey; a sister, Elizabeth (Stacy) Phillips; a sister-in-law, Lucille Carsey, and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Currens, Sr.; her only child, Maurice Currens, Jr.; four brothers, Clarence, Wayne, Wesley, James Carsey and two infant brothers, Elias and Waid Carsey.
