Shirley Russell Findling

class=MsoNormal>ATHENS - Shirley Russell "Russ" Findling, 89, of Alfred, Ohio, died Friday, June 25, 2004 at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster, Ohio.He was born December 15, 1914, in Alfred, Ohio, and was the son of the late Herman and Iva Hawk Findling. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII and served in European Theater. He was also a farmer and attended schools in Meigs County. He is survived by his wife, Gladys Koehler Findling; one brother, Harry of Carole, Ohio; one sister, Helen Findling of Coolville, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Edna; one brother, Carl, and one sister, Belle Reeves. Services will be held at 11 AM, Monday, June 28, 2004 at Hughes-Moquin  Funeral Home, Athens, Ohio, with Amos Tillis officiating. Burial will be in the Meigs Memory Gardens, Pomeroy, Ohio. Friends may car one hour prior to services.
