Juanita Jones

CHAUNCEY - Juanita Jones, 88, of Chauncey, died Saturday, July 24, 2004  in Beverly.Born Nov. 26, 1915, in Chauncey, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Estella Swart Jones. She retired from Logan City Schools as a Secretarial Studies Teacher and taught 40 years in Athens, Geauga, Muskingum, Fairfield and Hocking Counties. She was a 1937 Ohio University Graduate. She was a 50 year member of the Eastern Star, life member of NEA, Ohio and ATHENS county Retired Teachers. She is survived by a nephews, Lloyd Blackford of Heath; four nieces, Jeanette Carter of Crows, VA, Elizabeth Blackford of The Plains, Carolyn Blackford of The Plains, Lois Ann Bartlett of Williamstown, WV.Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Nellie Blackford and a brother, Harold Jones.Services will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home, ATHENS -ith Bill Carter officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.
