Bruce Rubin

class=MsoNormal>ATHENS - Bruce chr(39)Generalchr(39) Rubin, 53, of Athens, died Sunday, March 14, 2004, at his home.Born August 14, 1950, in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son the late Sidney and Belle Resnick Rubin.chr(39)Generalchr(39) had opened several businesses in Athens, including Harpochr(39)s, and Chiccalinichr(39)s Pasta Palace.  He was also a long-time participant in the ATHENS -enchr(39)s Open Softball League.Bruce is survived by his wife of 28 years, Anne Sessums Rubin; beloved daughter, Samantha W. Rubin; and a host of friends.Services will be held Tuesday, at 3:00 p.m., at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home, Athens, with Rabbi Mark Goldfarb officiating.  Burial will be at Alexander Cemetery, Athens.Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 1:00 p.m. until time of service.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1110 Dennison Avenue, Columbus, Ohio  43201-9803.
