ATHENS Donald Dale South, 71, of Hockingport, formerly of the ATHENS -rea, died early Monday morning, July 12, 2004 at his home.He was born July 22, 1932 in Athens, he was the son of the late John and Mary Rose Tucker South.He was a graduate of Amesville High School and was a former employee of McBee?s and was one of the founders of Economy Supply. He was formerly self employed in the heating and cooling business.He was a founding member of Hockingport Christian Center and was a US Navy veteran of the Korean War.He is survived by his wife, Kay South; three sons, David (Theresa) South of Athens, Tom South of Dayton, Mark (Jill Well) South of Athens; two step sons, Keith (Christy) Young of Nelsonville, Dave (Carol) Willoughby of Athens; a step daughter, Lisa (Dr. Roland) Barr of Carbondale, Ill; seven grandchildren, Teather Royce, John, Mike, DJ, Christopher, Mathew and Maverick South; seven step grandchildren, Brandon and Derek Young, Austin and Tyler Willoughby, Garrett, Harrison and Weston Barr; three great grandchildren; a mother-in-law, Faye Marie Leonard of Coolville.Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Barbara Shirley South; three brothers, Ellis, Glenn and Harvey South.Services will be Friday at 11:00 am at Hockingport Christian Center with Rev. Sheldon Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Canaanville Cemetery where military services will be conducted by the ATHENS -merican Legion and ATHENS -FW.Friends may call at the Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home, ATHENS -hursday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm
