DADE CITY, FL ? Frances Kern Woogerd, 92, of Dade City, Florida, and formerly of Athens, died Wednesday, January 21, 2004, at Zephyr Haven Nursing Home in Zephyrhills, Florida. Born March 13, 1911, in Athens, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Ethel Cable Kern. She and her late husband, Kenneth L. Woogerd founded both the Union Printing Company and the ATHENS -ffice Supply, before moving to Florida in 1973.Frances is survived by two grandsons, Eric R. Owings of Florissant, CO, and Brian Keith Owings of Culver City, CA; four great-grandchildren, Autumn Owings of Missoula, MT, Jeanelle Owings of Gresham, OR, and Derek and Brandon Owings of Culver City, CA; and one great-great granddaughter, Haley Holm of Missoula, MT.Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth in 1986; a daughter, Kay Sara Owings in 1995; a sister, Sara Jane Alvarez, and brothers, Theodore and Charles Kern.Graveside services will be Sunday, February 1, 2004, at 1:00 p.m., at the West Union Street Cemetery, Athens. There will be no calling hours at the request of the family. Arrangements are being handled by Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home, Athens.
