ATHENS - Eleanor K. Kasler, nee Keirns, age 89, of Columbus and formerly of Wooster and Athens, Ohio, died Friday, October 15, 2004, at Westminster-Thurber Community after a long illness and complications of Alzheimer?s Disease. Born April 21, 1915, on Hooper Ridge, Ames Township, ATHENS county, Ohio, eldest daughter of the late Spicer Leonidas and Rose Annalize McDaniel Keirns. Member of Hooper Ridge Church of Christ, First Christian Church and Parkview Church of Christ. She was a graduate of Ames-Bern High School. Preceded in death by husband Warren M. Kasler, a brother and sister-in-law, George and Marie Keirns, a sister, Alice Coon, a brother-in-law, James McLaren. Survived by son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Janet Kasler, and two grandchildren, Alexander and Emily, all of Columbus; a sister Esther McLaren of Athens; a brother-in-law, Otho Coon of The Plains, and nieces and nephews. Friends may call Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home in Athens. Services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 10 am with the Rev. Steve Brown officiating.
